After graduating from Columbia University in New York, Nicholas re-located to Vietnam to pursue a career in journalism, and through a series of luck, networking, and serendipity found himself working as a production manager on features such as ‘City of Ghosts’ and ‘Act of Valor’, and in exotic locations in Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos. Through his passion for story telling and entrepreneurship Nicholas founded Indochina Productions, and now serves as a ‘hands-on’ Executive Producer connecting international filmmakers to the Indochina region.

She first started as a wardrobe supervisor on ‘The Deer Hunter’, and since then has worked as producer on countless international and local productions including the award winning ‘The Rocket’ (Crystal Bear Winner – Berlin International Film Festival 2013). An industry veteran in her native of Thailand Air brings to the Indochina Team her wealth of experience and an east-meets-west cultural sensitivity that enables a smooth and fun production experience every time.
An experienced banker and production manager Lylie combines responsible fiscal management and production insight to produce projects on time and within budget. Shawn (Hopkins) Simon, a UC Berkeley grad, started her career of college working for (then) ICM super agent Robert Newman. An associate in acquisitions Universal Pictures was her next move, where she screened films and interacted with independent filmmakers for specialty label Gramercy Pictures. In 1995, Polygram Pictures hired her as manager of acquisitions, working with the company’s satellites Working Title (THE BIG LEBOWSKI), Interscope,(PITCH BLACK) and Propaganda (THE GAME). In 1998 Shawn made the transition to literary representation joining Mike Ovitz and Rick Yorn’s Artist Management Group (AMG) where she worked numerous writers and directors including Sydney Pollack, Ron Shelton, Bill Paxton and Burr Steers. Starting in 2003 at David Fincher and Steve Golin’s Anonymous Content, Shawn’s clients included Burr Steers (Pride Prejudice and Zombies opens February 2016), writer Joby Harold (Guy Ritchie’s KNIGHT’S OF THE ROUND TABLE opening 2016) and Sundance Film Festival winner Debra Granik (WINTER’S BONE, for which Shawn served as Executive Producer). While at Anonymous Nicholas and Shawn married in 2005 and welcomed their daughter Lulu in 2007. In 2010, now at the Gotham Group, BAFTA winners Michael Samuels and William Boyd (ANY HUMAN HEART) and Emmy winner Brian Percival (DOWNTON ABBEY) were new clients Shawn enthusiastically looked after. She’s excited to be back working on film and TV projects for Indochina after spending the past few years keeping a happy nomadic household in order while Nicholas, Air and Lylie built Indochina.
